The NAB Show 2017 just concluded and there are some clear standouts. Highlights of this April’s show in Las Vegas include updated LED lighting, robotic cameras and more video equipment. Of particular note is the Arri SkyPanel, a LED lighting source that allows dialing in light color for video shoots while using very little energy. Also available is a less expensive, but similar product, Kino Celeb. Both will provide soft and bright lighting. LED screens of all sizes were shown as were new cameras, mounts, and drives.
Key Takeaways:
- The NAB show in Las Vegas this year was very large and had a lot to offer – over 1800 companies presenting and more than 100,000 in attendance
- One highlight was the Arri SkyPanel LED light – the lighting is ideal and doesn’t use much power, however it is very expensive.
- There are some clear trends this year with robotic camera heads and LED screens seeming to be popular among camera products.
